About this property

Relax in the comfort of your private bungalow, complete with mountain views, a private patio, modern and elegant decor, and all of the conveniences of the famed Ocotillo Lodge community. The Ocotillo Lodge complex was built in 1957, and is considered a major work by architect William Krisel. This midcentury bungalow was fully restored and reimagined in 2021 by the Scandinavian owners, a minimalist architect and textile designer, to suit their aesthetic philosophy and lifestyle. The City of Palm Springs ID# 003027 The light and mountain views from the south-facing unit are wonderful, and the large glass wall separating the living space from the patio accentuates the indoor-outdoor connection. The interiors and furnishings provide a calming, elegant space for enjoying the desert views and light. The finish palette is limited to polished concrete floors, white walls, and stainless steel details. Roller blinds provide full privacy and shading. Occupancy Limits: - Overnight: 2 - Daytime: 6 ENTERTAINMENT: *1 Smart TV with Roku Stick and Cable *The community clubhouse behind the pool includes a library (books, board games, etc), and pool tables. Pool cues within the unit are provided for guests. *There is also a nice fitness room with pool and mountain views in the clubhouse. KITCHEN AND DINING: *Fully equipped kitchen for your convenience with refrigerator, cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, hand mixer, dishes, utensils, pantry items *Built-in wall oven is a combination conventional/convection/microwave *Dining table seats 4, outdoor table seats 2 UTILITIES: *Central Heating and Central A/C *Guests won’t be able to set the AC thermostat below 72F degrees (cooling) since this would freeze and damage the system *Built-in combination washer/dryer in unit POOL & SPA FACILITIES: *The complex has one of the largest pools in Palm Springs as well as two spas and the shaded “Sunshine Bar" *Pool is open from 8am - 11pm daily *Guests must abide by all posted pool rules OUTDOOR FEATURES: *Patio with BBQ/Grill *Pool Towels *Property has views to the mountains and palm trees ADDITIONAL AMENITIES: *Essentials (Towels, bed sheets, soap, shampoo, toilet paper) *Hair Dryer *Hangers *Iron & Board *Community Fitness Room with machines and free weights PARKING: There is ample private parking just east of the unit (no designated spots). Parking is limited to one car per bedroom. This unit is part of an HOA community, and you will have access to the community amenities such as hot tub, pool and fitness room. Please note that we cannot guarantee the community amenities availability and operation during your stay. This home is professionally managed. We are a friendly team of folks who look after this beautiful property while the owners are away. We ask you to keep in mind, this is a private home which the owner retreats to. We simply ask that you respect & take care of the property as if it were your own. Let that love flow. **We are available to you for standard check in times should you require any assistance from 4pm - 6pm. The City of Palm Springs has resumed in-person meet and greets pursuant to PSMC 5.25.070(m). “The Owner or the Owner’s agent or representative shall meet the Responsible Party in person at the Vacation Rental or the Owner’s or Owner’s agent’s office prior to, or within twenty-four (24) hours of, the commencement of the occupancy and verbally explain and describe all rules and regulations applicable to the use of the property as a Vacation Rental and the responsibilities of the Responsible Party to the neighbors and the City as well as the Owner. The Owner shall secure the signature of the Responsible Party and all adult guests to a statement of rules and regulations …” South Palm Springs is such a lovely place to stay. You can walk or bike through the Twin Palms neighborhood, eat or shop at the Smoke Tree Commons, and so much more. Koffi is a block away, as well as the Ace Hotel. There are so many restaurants within walking distance of your Palm Springs bungalow, you will probably need to stay longer than you anticipated. Downtown Palm Springs is a quick Uber ride, trolley ride, or drive from your space. Amenity limitations — The cold water can run warm in the daytime during hot weather, as the pipes are routed over the roof. Also, the wall-hung toilet is a water-conserving toilet, meaning that it may require multiple flushes at times. Potential for noise — The concrete block party wall behind the bed is not acoustically insulated, i.e. when laying in bed guests may be able to hear talking/music from the adjacent unit. NO animals or pets of any kind are permitted at the Property. If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have to pay twice the pet fee or will have their reservation cancelled immediately. This is a NON-SMOKING property - no smoking or vaping inside or outside the unit. Any fines, citations or penalties imposed against us for actions triggering a violation of the City of Palm Springs will be deducted from the security deposit. Such examples can be found in our House Rules. In the City of Palm Springs, Occupant must be at least 25 years of age or older. By continuing with this reservation, Occupant represents that they are older than 25 years of age and further warrants that other occupants are either over the age of 25, or are accompanied by an adult guardian. NOISE: Palm Springs has strict ordinances that govern vacation rentals. In particular, we want you to note that "NO outside music is allowed at vacation rental homes." I know, we all love our tunes out by the pool, but it's just not allowed by law. Music may not be heard at the property lines at any time of the day (that includes music coming from inside the home). Please abide by this rule so you don't get fined by the police, and so we don't lose our vacation rental permit. OCOTILLO LODGE COMMUNITY RULES: NOISE: Please note that this is a residential community, and be courteous when entering and exiting the building. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am, and sound carries through our courtyard style complex. To avoid noise violations being charged to your group, please keep your guests inside of the condo during the quiet hours. Keeping the windows and doors closed helps tremendously. TRASH: If you need to take the trash out during your stay, the community trash bins are located on the west (mountain) side of the clubhouse. POOL: The pool is in the central courtyard, and has posted hours of operation. Please comply with all pool rules, do not use the pool after the posted hours, and be courteous of neighbors in regards to noise level while you swim/sun. No glass is allowed at the pool. PARKING: Parking is not assigned. Feel free to park at the gate closest to your condo. SMOKING: All smoking, vaping, and use of e-cigarettes is prohibited in all Common Areas and Exclusive Use Common Areas in the Community (including but not limited to shared and exclusive use patios, pool, spa, Sunshine Bar, all walkway, parking lot surrounding the complex, etc.). “Smoking” includes, but is not limited to, any practice by which any substance (such as tobacco or cannabis) is burned for the purpose of inhaling its smoke. “Vaping” includes, but is not limited to, inhaling vaporized water, solvents, or other liquids to inhale tobacco, cannabis, or any other substance. “E-cigarette” includes, but is not limited to, any electronic device that vaporizes liquid nicotine, cannabis, or any other substance for inhalation.
